Amy reviews work by artists Mire Lee and Pepon Osorio

Michael Amy, professor of the history of art, had his reviews of work by Mire Lee and Pepon Osorio published recently in Sculpture magazine. The South Korean artist Lee explores desire, carnage, and the abject in her sculptural environment including mechanized body parts, while the Puerto Rican artist Osorio takes on racial and class stereotyping in installations dealing with education, health care, violence, and mass incarceration. Both artists had exhibitions featured at the New Museum in New York City.
