Academic Advising

Overview

Academic advising in the College of Art and Design, and across RIT, is a support network focused on students’ academic success, persistence toward educational and career goals and on-time graduation. Our academic advisors’ mission is to connect students with the appropriate people, places, opportunities and resources while guiding them through their curriculum. From the time students step onto campus until graduation, they receive the type of one-on-one interaction with an advisor that enriches their academic experience.

Below is a list of the Student Services staff, including the academic advisors who handle each academic program. Our office is located in Gannett Hall — Room 1075. Our office hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

If you are unsure of who to contact, you may send an email to artdesign.advising@rit.edu or call the main phone number for Student Services: (585) 475-6045.
