Saunders College of Business will honor the Gueldenpfennig family for their dedication as alumni and longtime RIT supporters—who turned REDCOM Laboratories Inc. into one of the world’s leading suppliers of secure and reliable communications solutions—with the 2022 Phil Saunders Cornerstone of Philanthropy Award during this year’s Brick City Homecoming & Family Weekend.

RIT business students can expect major changes to Max Lowenthal Hall, home of Saunders College of Business, after the completion of a more than $20 million expansion and renovation project in fall 2023.

The Executive MBA program at RIT’s Saunders College of Business is ranked 27th in Princeton Review’s “Top 50 Online MBA Programs for 2022.” The college’s rigorous Executive MBA program is based on developing students’ strategic thinking and decision-making skills in a flexible, small-class environment.

Executive MBA alumna Deborah Stamps ’18 was named president of Rochester Regional Health’s (RRH) new College of Health Careers. Stamps led the charge to establish the college, which welcomed its first cohort of nursing students in March 2021.

Denishea Ortiz, executive director of Strategic Marketing for RIT’s Auxiliary Services, has been named a recipient of Rochester Business Journal’s 27th annual Forty Under 40 award. The award recognizes young professionals and future leaders for giving back to the Rochester community.

Saunders College of Business celebrated the expansion and renovation of Max Lowenthal Hall with a ceremonial groundbreaking Aug. 31. RIT President David Munson and Saunders College Dean Jacqueline Mozrall were joined by donors E. Philip Saunders, Susan Riedman Holliday, Chance Wright, Brigitte Gueldenpfennig, and Dinah Gueldenpfennig Weisberg during the college’s annual welcome picnic.

Saunders College of Business has been awarded a grant of up to $500,000 to establish an online life sciences Executive MBA entrepreneurship program. The new degree will be formed in partnership with RIT’s Kate Gleason College of Engineering, College of Science, and Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences.

In an unprecedented decision, Saunders College of Business is now accepting applications for fall 2020 graduate education without standardized tests, including Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and Graduate Record Examinations (GRE). The decision was made to benefit graduate school applicants facing uncertainty created by COVID-19 and the closure of standardized testing centers.
