This is the seventh time that an RIT/NTID student team has won the national question-and-answer competition, which consists of topics including arts and literature, history and government, geography, science, technology and nature, sports and leisure, Deaf heritage and culture, entertainment, current events, and mathematics.

RIT Accounting Student Volunteers Assist Families in Need with Tax Returns
Every year during tax season, student volunteers from Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology provide free tax return services to families in need through a program called VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) offered by Creating Assets, Savings & Hope (CASH), a Rochester non-profit. CASH “empowers people in our community seeking financial security by offering free, year-round tax advice and preparation, financial education programs, and consultation.”

Distinguished Alumni Award winners named for 2023-2024
Twelve RIT alumni have been honored with Distinguished Alumni Awards for the 2023-2024 year. The Distinguished Alumni Awards are presented annually by each of RIT’s nine colleges, the School of Individualized Study, and the RIT Graduate School to alumni who have performed at the highest levels of their profession or who have contributed to the advancement and leadership of civic, philanthropic, or service organizations.

Saunders College of Business faculty, alumni, and students—together with local business leaders—have recognized a popular, longtime professor with the dedication of a multifunctional space inside Max Lowenthal Hall. The Daniel D. Tessoni Business Center honors the esteemed RIT faculty member who served in several roles at the college from 1974 until his retirement last year.
