NSF CyberCorps Scholarship for Service recipient educates Rochester students and seniors on cybersecurity
As a recipient of the NSF CyberCorps Scholarship for Service (SFS), fifth-year student Jaime Campanelli has dedicated herself to educating the public about cybersecurity. Students in the CyberCorps SFS program work for the U.S. government in information protection and assurance roles following their graduation.

RIT becomes one of the first universities to receive support from Google’s Cybersecurity Clinics Fund
RIT is receiving $500,000 from the Google Cybersecurity Clinics Fund to train new cybersecurity professionals, while providing services for public good at the same time. The funding from Google.org, the company’s philanthropic arm, is part of a $20 million collaboration with the Consortium of Cybersecurity Clinics that Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, announced in June.

RIT recognized as No. 98 in prestigious national university ranking by ‘U.S. News’
RIT is ranked 98th as a “National University” in the 2024 edition of U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges, jumping seven spots from last year. This list of 443 includes the nation’s best research universities that also offer a full range of undergraduate majors, plus master’s and doctoral programs, and emphasize faculty research or award professional practice doctorates.
