Security Risk Advisors sponsors scholarships for ‘red team’ cybersecurity students
Security Risk Advisors, a cybersecurity consulting firm, is sponsoring $125,000 in scholarships for RIT students interested in “red team” cybersecurity, also known as offensive security. Security Risk Advisors has committed to annually sponsoring $25,000 in scholarships for the next five years.

RIT Esports wins FACEIT’s North American ‘CS:GO’ Collegiate Championship
RIT Esports dominated the FACEIT Grand Finals tournament to become the best collegiate CS:GO team in North America this spring. The Tigers bested 68 teams to win the 2022 FACEIT championship, which is one of the main tournaments for collegiate Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) esports.

Computing double major juggles school, work, and clubs
Olivia Gallucci is a second-year computing security and computer science double major from Lancaster, Pa., with a minor in free and open source software and free culture. She holds executive-board positions for two clubs, regularly presents research, and has received multiple internship opportunities. Gallucci enjoys sailing and writing about security, open source, and college on her personal website.

World’s best cybersecurity students battle at Collegiate Pentesting Competition in Rochester
A team of Cal Poly Pomona students took home the top trophy at the Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition (CPTC) global finals Jan. 6-9. Stanford placed second and Tennessee Technological University placed third.
