RIT Hosts High School Computer Programming Contest April 9
Top computer programmers from five Rochester area high schools to compete

RIT and Golisano College Dean Jorge Diaz-Herrera host computer programming competition.
Rochester area high school students will sample a career in computer programming during a competition at Rochester Institute of Technology on Friday.
Teams from Fairport, Irondequoit, McQuaid Jesuit, Victor and Webster High Schools will write computer programs and solve complex sets of real-world programming problems during the three hour-long competition.
The event begins at 10 a.m. and takes place in the B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences (rooms 3550 and 3650). Students will work with RIT computer science students and faculty throughout the day and will hear remarks from Golisano College Dean Jorge Diaz-Herrera.
RIT will recognize the winners during a 1:30 p.m. awards ceremony.
