Workshops and Outreach Groups
Did you know workshops and outreach groups are offered at different points throughout the semester to provide additional support to RIT students? You do not need to be connected to Counseling and Psychological Services for treatment to attend these sessions.
Tigers Care is a campus-wide effort to enhance, promote, and sustain a culture of care and support at RIT. It’s who we are, how we act, and how we treat one another.
Counseling and Psychological Services provides confidential and personalized services to meet the mental health needs of RIT students.
Appointments and Hours
Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Schedule, change, or cancel an appointment using a secure message on the RIT Wellness Portal or contact us at 585-475-2261.
Mental Health Emergencies
If you are experiencing a life-threatening mental health emergency or situation needing immediate response, call 911 or contact Public Safety by calling 585-475-3333 or texting 585-205-8333.
Members of the RIT Community work together toward maintaining an environment of support, respect, and care to contribute to student success. We offer multiple levels of support, from urgent care services to self-help resources, we are here to support you.
Masks can make it hard for everyone to communicate.
Now you can use TigerChat to converse with another person or group using automatic speech recognition (ASR) technology and typing. RIT Wellness service providers are equipped and ready to use the TigerChat App to help eliminate communication barriers with the RIT Community.
Reflect — Recognize — Reframe — Reach Out
The Wellness Portal is a secure online website for students to access personal health information. Using your RIT username and password, students can view immunization information, health history forms, and connect with a health care professional using secure messaging.
