Embedded Services

Embedded services bring private and confidential mental health counseling and education to the locations where students are already spending their time.

The goal of Counseling and Psychological Services embedded services is to increase student, faculty, and staff access to available mental health resources. Embedded clinicians develop a deeper understanding of the unique culture and experiences within these campus locations. Collectively, effectiveness of our clinical and educational work are enriched by our infusion into these learning environments.

In addition to the Counseling and Psychological Services August Center main office, a variety of clinical offices operate throughout the campus. Students that identify with any of these locations may elect to receive services in these locations. Affiliated faculty and staff are encouraged to connect with Counseling and Psychological Services providers within these locations for consultation and training needs.

To schedule an appointment with an embedded provider, students will attend an initial appointment within the Counseling and Psychological Services main office and are assigned to their respective embedded therapist when appropriate. Students with urgent mental health needs should go to the main office. Faculty and staff are encouraged to connect with their embedded provider directly for non-emergency consultations.
