RIT Croatia announces new faculty for spring 2024/25

RIT Croatia is excited to announce the addition of three esteemed educators to our faculty for the spring semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Their expertise and enthusiasm for teaching are sure to enrich our academic community.

Edmond Mullajupi
Joining the New Media Design program, Edmond Mullajupi will be teaching the Interactive I course. Edmond holds a five-year degree in IT Design from the University of Applied Sciences (TVZ) in Zagreb, further complemented by studies in pedagogy and psychology at the Faculty of Teacher Education in Zagreb.

Over the past seven years, Edmond has built extensive experience as a front-end developer, contributing to a smaller, dynamic company. Drawing on his practical expertise, Edmond aims to provide valuable insights to students, sharing his knowledge in a hands-on and relatable manner. Known for his engaging conversational style, Edmond prioritizes student interaction, striving to make lessons dynamic, meaningful, and enjoyable.

Dr. Ivana Rončević
Dr. Ivana Rončević will teach the Communication course. A linguist and public speaker based in Zagreb, Ivana brings extensive university teaching and research experience gained in Croatia and Saudi Arabia. She holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Zagreb, along with M.A. degrees in English and German Language and Literature and Conference Interpreting. Additionally, she has studied Artificial Intelligence at the University of Texas at Austin.

Ivana has taught linguistics, composition, public speaking, and political communication courses at the University of Zagreb and Prince Sultan University in Saudi Arabia. Beyond academia, she successfully managed a translation business and recently founded a children's book publishing company. In 2024, she authored a monograph on digital rhetoric titled Intercultural Rhetoric in the Age of Social Media Networks.

Known for her passion for poetry, music, memes, and SpongeBob, Ivana designs her classes to be interactive and goal-oriented. Students can look forward to communication sessions enriched with relatable memes and social media humor, making learning both effective and enjoyable.

Sanja Živković
Sanja Živković will lead the Organizational Behavior course within the Global Business Management program. Sanja is the Founder and Director of the Heartist Center, specializing in leadership development and education. Her extensive experience spans leadership and expert roles across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors.

Sanja holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Zagreb and a Professional Coach-Mentoring diploma accredited by Oxford Brookes University and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the School of Advanced Social Studies in Slovenia, where her research explores inspiration, impact, and intelligence in leadership.

In her classroom, Sanja fosters a positive and interactive learning environment. She provides clear explanations supported by real-life examples. Students can expect engaging discussions and reflective activities designed to support their professional and personal growth.

With their diverse experiences and innovative approaches to education, Edmond Mullajupi, Dr. Ivana Rončević, and Sanja Živković promise to make a significant impact on our students and community. We eagerly anticipate the contributions they will bring to RIT Croatia.
