RIT Croatia Dean Selected to HUP-UPO Executive Board

Dr. Irena Guszak, President and Dean of RIT Croatia, has been selected as a co-opted member of the Executive Board of the Croatian Employers’ Association – Employers in Education Association (HUP-UPO). The selection was confirmed at the Association’s recent elective Assembly.

HUP-UPO brings together employers and institutions active in the education sector to support quality, relevance, and collaboration in higher education and related fields. Its priorities include developing workforce-relevant skills, promoting lifelong learning, advancing dual education models, and strengthening the connection between education, research, and industry.

Dr. Guszak’s selection reflects RIT Croatia’s ongoing engagement in national higher education initiatives and its contribution to sector-wide dialogue between education providers and employers. “I see this selection as an opportunity to contribute to meaningful discussion and collaboration within the education sector,“ said Dr. Guszak. „Associations such as HUP-UPO play an important role in connecting institutions and employers, and I look forward to sharing RIT Croatia’s perspective and learning from colleagues across the sector.”

At the same Assembly, Dr. Gojko Ostojić of Libertas International University was elected as the new President of HUP-UPO. Other newly selected Executive Board members represent EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences, the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, Algebra Bernays University, and the SPES Center for Education and Translation.

We congratulate all newly selected members on their roles and look forward to their contributions to HUP-UPO’s work and the broader education community.
