RIT Croatia at Zagreb Design Week 2026: Points of Contact

RIT Croatia returns to this year's Zagreb Design Week with our exhibition, Points of Contact. Created by our talented New Media Design students under the mentorship of faculty members Marija Kamber, Dr. Mia Klemenčić, Dr. Jurica Dolić, and Dr. Petar Branislav Jelušić, the exhibition explores how every encounter leaves a trace.

Inspired by the concept of quantum entanglement, the idea that two particles stay connected across distance, Points of Contact treats human connection the same way: as an evolving relationship shaped by memory, reinterpretation, and shared influence.

The exhibition is part of Zagreb Design Week’s official program, taking place from September 15 to 20, 2026, at the Academy of Fine Arts. Space comes to life through a dialogue between structure and experimentation, inviting visitors to explore the ways connections can be formed and remembered. Throughout the event, our New Media Design students will be present in the space to engage with visitors and walk them through the environment.

Beyond the exhibition itself, seven New Media Design students are also bringing their individual ideas and creative work to Zagreb Design Week as finalists for the ZGDW Award. Leon Krile with Deck and Lekri, Ida Mihaica with Be-For-Sex, Nora Miškulin with Orchidea, Nutsa Sesiashvili with Folded Forest, Asita Singh with Bareform and Campfire Tales, Đivo Vidak with Relaxo, and Magdalena Žulj with Virtual Pet Project: Hide and Seek are competing across three categories: Graphic Design, Product Design, and Digital Communication Design and Interaction Design.

We invite you to join us at the Academy of Fine Arts and experience the captivating work of our students firsthand! Their projects will be exhibited from September 15 to 20, with the ZGDW Award ceremony taking place on 15 September, when the winners will be announced.
