Student Government announces the annual Charity Auction
At RIT Croatia, giving back to the community is greatly valued and cherished. This year, Student Government members proudly continue the longstanding tradition of the Charity Auction, an event that unites students, alumni, faculty, and staff in support of those in need. Over the past 20 years, this initiative has raised over 65,000 EUR for various charitable causes, showcasing the incredible generosity and solidarity of our RIT Croatia community.
This year, the focus is on supporting the Rehabilitation Center Silver, an organization recognized for its innovative approach to rehabilitating people with disabilities and children with developmental disabilities. What makes the Center special is the integration of assistance dogs into the rehabilitation process. Guide dogs, rehabilitation, and therapy dogs actively participate in supporting users, contributing to their recovery, and improving the quality of life.
Coming together for a good cause
The 2025 Charity Auction takes place in two exciting parts:
1. Silent Auction (December 1 – December 4)
The Silent Auction starts on December 1 and lasts until December 4. For the Silent Auction, students, faculty, and staff can access the Air Auctioneer platform with this link. All details regarding accessing the platform can be found in the email sent to the entire RIT Croatia community.
Students, alumni, faculty, and staff can further support our cause by purchasing Bingo tickets in the SG office or from SG members near the reception. The more numbers you buy, the greater your chances of winning!
2. Live Auction (December 4 & 5)
The Charity Auction culminates with a lively in-person event on December 4 at Love Bar in Dubrovnik and on December 5 at the Galleria Business Center, 1st floor in Zagreb, where the community will come together to bid on exclusive items, enjoy great company, and celebrate the spirit of giving.
The generosity of the RIT Croatia community, whether through bidding, purchasing Bingo tickets, or simply sharing information about the Charity Auction, helps make a difference for the Rehabilitation Center Silver in its duty to provide better services for people in need.
