Welcome to the 2026/2027 academic year: New beginnings, new faces
On September 1st, we officially kicked off the 2026/2027 academic year across both our Zagreb and Dubrovnik campuses. There is always a unique, vibrant energy at the start of September—a mix of high expectations, fresh notebooks, and the quiet excitement of new beginnings.
We are thrilled to welcome close to 250 new students to our campus community, including first-year students, Erasmus+ exchange students, and those visiting us for a semester from our main campus in Rochester. Around 30% of this incoming cohort is international, bringing together voices from more than 15 countries and 30 different citizenships to enrich our classrooms and student life.
Alongside our new students, we are delighted to welcome several new faculty members across our academic departments:
In the General Education area at our Zagreb campus, Ivan Butković will be teaching Critical Reading and Writing, while Antonio Mustahinić joins to teach Algebra and Intro to Statistics 1. We are also proud to welcome Dr. Iva Ančić, an RIT Croatia HTM alumna, who will be teaching Intercultural Communication.
Our New Media Design department welcomes two new instructors: Vedran Blažević, who will be teaching New Media Design 3D, and Ino Zeljak, who will be leading Introduction to Digital Photography.
In the Business Department, we are excited to welcome another proud RIT Croatia HTM alumna, Nina Mimica, MBA, who will teach Principles of Marketing and Global Business Environment at the Zagreb campus.
Finally, in the Web and Mobile Computing department, Marko Jankuleski joins us to teach Artificial Intelligence and Contemporary Computing across both our Zagreb and Dubrovnik campuses.
To all of our new and returning students, faculty, and staff: we wish you all the very best of luck and look forward to a fantastic, inspiring academic year ahead.
