"The flexibility of the program was a major factor in my ability to complete a program at all. I was able to get my work done in the early mornings or evenings and the classes were scheduled at times that worked well for my schedule."

Why did you choose the Executive MBA program?

I am someone who really strives to keep learning throughout my career and at the time I was struggling to find ways to learn in my position. Coming from a technical background working for a technical firm, going back to school offered me a chance to learn more about how businesses are supposed to run and also to learn from others with experience in different fields.

How has your education helped your career?

The program helped open up my eyes to looking at work in a different way. The leadership side of the program offered me insight on my leadership style and ways to improve. The analytical side of the program shed light on new and different ways to look at problems. The capstone project at the end put it all together and see the value of what we learned in a real-world situation. These skills benefit me in my daily work and will continue to for years to come.

What is your best piece of advice?

The program is very challenging and fast-paced. This can be difficult at times but I found that the effort you put in strongly relates to what you get out of the program. My suggestion is to utilize the expertise of the professors and classmates as much as you can while you have the opportunity.

If you had to do it all over again, would you?

While the program may have pushed my body and minds limits it offered great opportunities to learn, travel, and meet great people. If I could go back in time I would make the same decision again.
