Move-In Dates

 

Tuesday, August 19 through Saturday, August 23: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Sunday, August 24: 10 a.m.  - 6 p.m. 

Current students who wish to arrive prior to Tuesday, August 19, need to submit an early arrival request at myLife.rit.edu.  A $65 early arrival charge will be posted on a student's account for every day prior to Tuesday, August 19.

Pre-Arrival to Campus

Pre-arrival checklist

You must have a photo ID in order to be issued your RIT housing key.

Access your room assignment, roommate information, meal plan, and mailing address under My Assignment in the myLife portal. All move-in information can be found by clicking on the My Move-In icon from the My Assignment page.

  2. Log in with your username and password
  3. Click on the My Assignment button

Arrival

Check-In and Key Pick-Up

Important Information

  • You must have a photo ID in order to be issued your RIT Housing key.

Key Pick Up Location

Grace Watson Hall for students assigned to: residence halls, Global Village, Riverknoll, Perkins Green, University Commons, Greek housing, and 175 Jefferson. 

RIT Inn front desk: students assigned to RIT Inn. 

For students assigned to locations with keyless entry: Baker Hall, Residence Hall A, Residence Hall B, Residence Hall C, and Global Village building 405, you may proceed directly to your assignment.  Keyless entry means you will use your RIT ID to gain access to your building/room.  You must complete a self check-in upon your arrival to campus to gain access to your housing.  A self check-in should not be done until you are on RIT campus.  An email will be sent to you prior to your arrival with instructions on how to complete a self check-in.  

A limited number of carts will available in Grace Watson Hall and at the RIT Inn for move-in.

Late Arrivals

If you experience travel difficulties and arrive after 6 p.m., please check in at the locations listed below:

RIT Housing office located in Grace Watson Hall: for students assigned to residence halls, Global Village, Riverknoll, Perkins Green, University Commons, Greek housing, and 175 Jefferson.

RIT Inn front desk: for students assigned to the RIT Inn. 

Keyless Entry: for students assigned to Baker Hall, Residence Hall A, Residence Hall B, Residence Hall C and Global Village building 405 - you may proceed to your assignment and complete a self check-in. 

If you arrive after 11 p.m., you will be required to locate alternative housing for the night at a local hotel.
