A Few Fun Facts About Me:
- Favorite podcast, book, tv show, or movie: All things Marketplace! Marketplace Morning Report, Marketplace Tech, Marketplace Minute, Business & Economics podcast that keeps me in the know about the world.
- What or who inspires me? Farmers inspire me. Crops, vegetables, livestock—all types of farming. So much hard work and they cannot control the outcome since with mother nature and society throwing curveballs at them.
- A goal or dream I am working towards: Visiting all 50 states—12 to go! This year I knocked off Wyoming and Montana on a winter trip.
- Scariest thing I ever did and would I do it again?: Drag racing my (passenger) car at Empire Dragway, south of Rochester. The adrenaline and nerves are quite serious as you line up at the staging lights. I have done it again.
- Advice for younger me: Keep in touch with your classmates—it's great fun to see where everyone has gone and what they have been up to in the 25 years since I graduated from RIT's College of Liberal Arts.
- Something I love that others might find unusual, unconventional, or uncomfortable: Car racing in various forms - most of which still use fossil fuels. The engineering and human ingenuity behind motor vehicles captivates me.
- Pets? I do, the infamous Harry Houndini —90+lb black lab shepherd mix who named himself by opening two doors the first day he came home with me.
