Gallaudet Exhibit Collaboration and International ASL Poetry Connections

Tabitha Jacques from Gallaudet University has reached out regarding a planned 2027 exhibit and will be borrowing materials related to the history of ASL poetry. They plan a “Dandelions” theme.

In a related international collaboration, Italian researcher and visitor Valentina Ponticelli recently shared a video of Italian Sign poet Nicola Della Maggiora performing a “Dandelion” poem, reflecting the continuing international influence and resonance of Deaf poetry traditions associated with works such as Clayton Valli’s Dandelion.
