Update on NEH Grant Project Archivist

Thank you to the NTID faculty and staff who participated in the search committee interviews, including Dr. Corinna Hill, Dr. Scot Atkins, Dr. Pam Conley, and Joseph Fox.

RIT Libraries has extended an offer to Prachi Koshar, a Deaf librarian from Maryland (with a master’s degree in library and information science), and will serve as the Project Archivist for the NEH grant initiative. Prachi will focus on processing, describing, and improving access to Deaf heritage collections within the Deaf Studies Archives and will not have instructional or teaching responsibilities. She is scheduled to begin on August 1.

As part of supporting her transition into the RIT/NTID environment, I would like to help introduce her to NTID faculty, staff, and community members. If you are interested in meeting or welcoming her to the community, please feel free to reach out.
