Main Lobby and Wolk Reception Area

Main Lobby

Located adjacent to the Bower Maker Showcase, the Main Lobby serves as a flexible gathering and welcome space within the SHED. Commonly used for tabling events, check-in areas, and informal receptions, the space can also support larger event overflow or full-lobby activations in coordination with adjacent venues. Existing lounge furniture remains in place during use of the space.

To reserve the Main Lobby, log in to RIT’s Event Management System (EMS), select “Create a Reservation” from the menu on the left, then click the “Book Now” button for “Request Meeting/Event Space.”

Saturday-Sunday
8 a.m. – Midnight

Wolk Reception Area

SHD-1950

Located directly outside the Sklarsky Glass Box Theater, the Wolk Reception Area is frequently used as a welcome and networking space for events hosted in the theater. The area works well for receptions, registration/check-in, light refreshments, and pre- or post-event gathering space connected to scheduled programming.

To reserve the Wolk Reception Area, log in to RIT’s Event Management System (EMS), select “Create a Reservation” from the menu on the left, then click the “Book Now” button for “Request Meeting/Event Space.”
