Germany’s rich history of automotive innovation, world-class engineering, and leadership in advanced vehicle technologies make it the ideal place to study automotive electronics. This program combines classroom learning with immersive, real-world experiences that put you at the center of automotive innovation.
In the spring semester, you’ll take a course at RIT focused on how modern vehicles integrate hardware, software, and advanced control systems. Then, in early summer, you’ll travel to Mittweida University—an RIT partner and top applied science university in Germany—for two weeks of hands-on learning, guest lectures, facility tours, and cultural experiences.
You’ll gain first-hand insight into industry giants like Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche, and tour state-of-the-art manufacturing sites and research labs to see the future of mobility in action.
Located in eastern Germany, Mittweida serves as the ideal launch point for exploring the region. Just 34 miles from Dresden, it's close to key program destinations like Leipzig, Zwickau, and Chemnitz. And with free three-day weekends, you can easily explore Berlin or Prague—each just 2.5 hours away.
