The Burj Azizi Fellowship is an exclusive, funded international opportunity for Engineering and Engineering Technology students at RIT. This immersive one-week program, hosted by Azizi Developments in Dubai, provides hands-on exposure to one of the world’s most ambitious construction projects—Burj Azizi, the second tallest tower in the world (725 meters).

Participants will gain real-world engineering experience, interact with top professionals in the field, and explore cutting-edge innovations in structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering while engaging with Dubai’s rich culture and industry leaders.

What you'll experience during your week in Dubai:

Exclusive Access to a Mega Construction Project – Tour the Burj Azizi construction site and witness firsthand how this engineering marvel is being built.

Hands-On Learning – Participate in technical workshops and engage with structural engineers, MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) teams, and project managers.

Most Expenses Covered – Flights, accommodations, meals, transportation, and activities are fully funded by Azizi Developments. Students will pay a $500 RIT program fee and should budget for personal expenses.

Participants in the Burj Azizi Fellowship will stay at the Novotel World Trade Centre Dubai, a modern and highly rated hotel conveniently located near the Azizi Developments offices and the Burj Azizi construction site.

Future Dubai Scholarship - all participants in the Burj Azizi Fellowship will receive an automatic $500 scholarship to study abroad at RIT Dubai for a future fall or spring semester.


Eligibility:
Program space is limited

  • Open to undergraduate majors in KGCOE and CET
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher (preference will be given to students with a 3.0 GPA or higher)
  • All year undergraduate year levels may apply (preference will be given to 3rd and 4th year students at the time of the program)
  • Have a clear conduct record with RIT
  • Have no financial holds on your RIT eServices account at the time of your program acceptance/confirmation
  • Be an RIT matriculated student at the time of the program
  • Have a valid passport at the time of travel that is valid at least 6 months beyond the dates of your travel
