Zagreb is a bustling Central European-style city with classic and modern architecture, winding cobblestone streets, and old city neighborhoods. The city boasts more than 20 museums, along with a variety of art galleries, cafes, and stylish boutiques. Perfectly situated between central Europe and the Adriatic Sea, Croatia's capital is home to nearly 800,000 of the country's residents.

Zagreb Campus
RIT Croatia's Zagreb campus is located at Damir Tomljanovica 15 in Bundek Center, a facility that includes restaurants and coffee shops. Located across from beautiful Bundek Park, the building contains classrooms, faculty and staff offices, a library, an auditorium, student lounges, and computer labs. Classrooms are fully equipped with the latest technology, and wireless internet access is available.

Academics
The RIT Zagreb campus offers the same RIT international business degree programs to local students as you earn here in Rochester. You will take 12-18 credits of courses that will count toward your degree requirements and get to spend time in the classroom collaborating with some of the region's brightest young people. Your faculty members are accomplished and well-respected, which means you will experience the same hands-on and challenging learning environment you are used to, with the bonus of in-depth cultural exploration. All courses are delivered in English.

Housing in Zagreb
Students will be placed in shared apartments with other RIT Rochester students. Apartments are equipped with wifi and are usually within 30 minutes of campus. Please note that students in this program may be placed in mixed-gender apartment-style housing in which bedrooms are separated by gender, but the apartment itself has students of the opposite gender.

Student Experience and Excursions
Before your departure, you will meet with the team in Croatia via Zoom. Once in Croatia, you will receive a thorough on-site orientation, and the RIT Croatia team will help you adjust to your new surroundings. You can participate in local clubs, sports teams, and other student activities. You will also participate in several cultural excursions during your stay in Croatia, which are included in the program fee. Some of the most popular include a day trip to the Plitvice Lakes National Park, where you will wander among a network of waterfalls, and Zadar, a coastal city with some of the most intact ancient Roman ruins, and a whimsical Sea Organ. In Zagreb, you will enjoy the laid-back café culture, the many walkable neighborhoods, festivals, and holidays.

Program Cost & Financial Aid

Student budget worksheets outline all program costs. Students should take a copy of this worksheet to their financial aid advisor early in the application process to determine how their aid may apply to the program cost.

Financial Aid:
Financial aid may cover some program costs. As you review the budget worksheet, please remember that it does not include your RIT financial aid or scholarships, which may cover some of the program costs. The purpose of the budget worksheet is to show all the costs associated with your study abroad program, which will help your RIT Financial Aid Assistant Director determine how your aid and scholarships may be applied. 

To understand how your financial aid and scholarships may apply to your program costs:

  • Make an appointment with your financial aid assistant director (call Financial Aid at 585-475-2186) and mention that you are calling for a study abroad appointment
  • Upload a copy of your budget worksheet(s) via the Financial Aid upload portal at https://join.rit.edu/register/FA_upload (at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled meeting, so they have time to prepare) 
  • Please rename the file name of your budget worksheet before uploading it to the Financial Aid portal based on the instructions provided in the portal (adding your name and student ID)
