SRISA is an RIT study abroad affiliate partner. The SRISA Scholarship Program provides an invaluable opportunity for prospective SRISA students to study abroad in Florence. The program is designed to assist academically qualified and/or artistically talented students with a certified financial need.

The Leifur Eiríksson Foundation funds scholars who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents from U.S. universities for graduate research or study at universities in Iceland, and scholars who are Icelandic citizens or permanent residents from universities in Iceland to conduct graduate research or study at universities in the United States.

The purpose of the International Nahum Goldmann Fellowship is to provide a constructive space for young leaders to test questions and assumptions, practice critical leadership skills, and learn about the diversity and shared values across the Jewish world. International Nahum Goldmann Fellowships are unique week long seminars for emerging Jewish leaders between the ages of 25-40 worldwide. The Fellowship brings together Jews of vastly different religious and political affiliations and exposes them to the highest level of Jewish learning, to the myriad challenges facing Jewish communities around the world and to the dynamic responses to these challenges. International Fellowships have been held in Israel, Uruguay, Poland, Croatia, Australia, South Africa, Sweden, India, Brazil, Russia, Germany, U.K.

The Prof. Rahamimoff Travel Grants Program is open to PhD students doing research that requires facilities or expertise not available in their home countries. The program has two calls annually, each supporting 10 awards.

For over a century, the American Academy in Rome has awarded the Rome Prize to support innovative and cross-disciplinary work in the arts and humanities. Each year, the prize is awarded to about thirty artists and scholars who represent the highest standard of excellence. Fellowships are awarded in the following disciplines: Ancient studies Architecture Design: includes graphic, industrial, interior, exhibition, set, costume, and fashion design, urban design, city planning, engineering, and other design fields Historic preservation and conservation Landscape architecture: includes environmental design and planning, landscape/ecological urbanism, landscape history, sustainability and ecological studies, and geography Literature: includes fiction, literary nonfiction, and poetry Medieval studies Modern Italian studies Musical composition Renaissance and early modern studies Visual arts: includes painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, film and video, installation, new media, digital arts, and other visual-arts fields

ThinkSwiss is a scholarship program funded by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI). It is managed by the Office of Science, Technology, and Higher Education at the Embassy of Switzerland in Washington, D.C. and supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in Ottawa, Canada. The aim of the program is to promote research opportunities in Switzerland for American and Canadian students and to foster exchange between Swiss, U.S., and Canadian universities and research institutions. The ThinkSwiss program encompasses both the Summer School Travel Grants and Research Scholarships. Summer School Travel Grants - This program offers travel grants to U.S. and Canadian participants for several Swiss summer schools. The participants will benefit from hands-on research, training and exposure to cutting-edge issues within a professional research community. Participants are selected by the respective summer school. Research Scholarships - for undergraduate or graduate students who have already found a research opportunity with a Swiss university. The ThinkSwiss Research Scholarship opens doors to the world of Swiss academia, which combines a high quality curriculum with innovative thinking. For whom? This program is designed for students who are enrolled at a U.S. or Canadian university and who have completed their sophomore year. The scholarship is open to students from all fields if they have an acceptance letter from a professor at a Swiss university for a research stay in their group.

The Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program is a program funded by the U.S. Department of State, administered by Howard University, that attracts and prepares outstanding young people for Foreign Service careers in the U.S. Department of State. The Pickering Fellowship offers a unique opportunity to promote positive change in the world. Upon successful completion of a two-year master’s degree program and fulfillment of Foreign Service entry requirements, fellows have the opportunity to work as Foreign Service Officers in accordance with applicable law and State Department policy, serving in Washington, DC and at a U.S. embassy, consulate, or diplomatic mission around the globe. Fellows also agree to a minimum five-year service commitment in the Department of State’s Foreign Service. The five-year service commitment begins upon entry into the Foreign Service. The Program provides graduate fellowships to qualified college seniors and college graduates committed to joining the Foreign Service. The fellowship helps finance two-year graduate programs, provides two summer internships, offers mentoring from a Foreign Service Officer, and provides other professional development activities. The program continues to ensure that the Foreign Service reflects the face of America to foreign audiences and provides a source of trained women and men who are dedicated to pursuing Foreign Service careers with the Department of State and representing America’s interests abroad.

Young people deserve to experience the world beyond their college campuses, but not everyone can afford to travel, especially if you’re on a student budget. The Tortuga Study Abroad Scholarship is awarded biannually to passionate students who want to explore the world. One winner is chosen each application cycle.

Since 2014, Volunteer Forever has been offering travel scholarships to help participants defray the cost of volunteering, studying, interning, teaching, or working abroad. Twice a year, we award a $500 to $1,000 scholarship to two travelers. This scholarship is open to travelers embarking on all kinds of meaningful trips: no matter where you’d like to go worldwide, we’re here to help. The scholarship award can be used for anything related to your travel, including the program fee, airfare, travel insurance, or even spending money while abroad! During each scholarship round, essays are evaluated blindly by a scholarship committee.

The Fellowship Program at the W.F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research is one of best opportunities around for students and scholars of the Near East. For more than a century, the Institute has provided scholars with an unparalleled international cultural environment, and a unique program that spans the broad spectrum of ancient Near Eastern studies. Each year, Albright Fellows from the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South Africa, as well as from Israel and the Palestinian Authority, exchange information and ideas with other scholars throughout the Eastern Mediterranean basin. Dedicated to the advancement of the study of the literature, history and culture of the ancient Near East, including the disciplines of the Archaeology of Palestine and Biblical Studies, the Albright continues to be a major American research center in the Middle East that strives for excellence in scholarship.

Post-Ph.D. Research Grants are awarded to individuals holding a Ph.D. or equivalent degree to support individual research projects. The program contributes to the Foundation's overall mission to support basic research in anthropology and to ensure that the discipline continues to be a source of vibrant and significant work that furthers our understanding of humanity's cultural and biological origins, development, and variation.
