RIT hosts remanufacturing workshop with the REMADE Institute

RIT's Golisano Institute for Sustainability co-hosted an innovative, half-day workshop with the REMADE Institute and Empire State Development on March 10, 2020. The workshop, “Technology Advancement Programs and Incentives for Remanufacturing, Repair, and Refurbishment Industries”, brought together leaders from across the remanufacturing, repair, and refurbishment industries.

Workshop attendees discussed the benefits of recent technological advances and shared insights from successful projects. They had the opportunity to explore RIT’s state-of-the-art remanufacturing facility. They also learned about funding available from New York State designed to reduce the cost and risk of implementing new technologies and processes. Experts from different sectors had the chance to network with one another and to connect with some of the top manufacturing companies and tech advancement organizations in the U.S.
