RIT hosts World Remanufacturing Conference
RIT and the Remanufacturing Industries Council hosted the 2025 RIC-RIT World Remanufacturing Conference, Oct. 14-16, in Troy, Mich. Established in 1993 through the efforts of Nabil Nasr, associate provost and director of the Golisano Institute for Sustainability, the council represents industries with a combined annual revenue of $100 billion. Conference highlights included a technical session led by GIS engineers on advances in non-destructive evaluation technologies and a REMADE Institute workshop on PhoenixDFR, an RIT-developed tool that helps designers integrate remanufacturing and circularity into product development.
