    Enhanced single-walled carbon nanotubes offer a more effective and sustainable approach to water treatment and remediation than the standard industry materials—silicon gels and activated carbon—according to a paper by RIT researchers John-David Rocha and Reginald Rogers.

    David C. Munson Jr. was introduced to the community today as Rochester Institute of Technology’s 10th president. Munson, who will assume RIT’s top post July 1, was introduced by RIT Board Chair Christine Whitman at a community-wide event this morning in the Gordon Field House.

    RIT named core partner of new robotics institute

    RIT’s Golisano Institute for Sustainability is a core academic partner in a new advanced robotics manufacturing institute announced by the U.S. Department of Defense on Jan. 13. The Advanced Robotics Manufacturing Innovation Hub is the 14th Manufacturing USA institute announced and seventh for RIT.

    RIT to lead new Manufacturing USA Institute

    Golisano Institute for Sustainability was selected today by the U.S. Department of Energy, as part of its Manufacturing USA initiative, to lead its new Reducing Embodied-Energy and Decreasing Emissions (REMADE) Institute.
