The Center for Teaching and Learning and the Academic Success Center are partnering again in the Fall 2025 to help undergraduate Teaching Assistants get their start in being a TA, or refresh their skillset after summer!
The Agenda
- Tuesday, August 26, 5-7pm in SHED 4300
- Comprehensive active-learning session including:
- Intro to being a TA
- Classroom Management and Active Learning
- Facilitating Learning in the Classroom
- Communication - TA's to Students and TA's to Instructional Staff
- Comprehensive active-learning session including:
- Wednesday, August 27, 5-7pm in SHED-4300
- This will be a repeat of August 26 session. You should only register for one session.
This session is open to all undergraduate TA's, SI's and instructional support employees. We will provide a crash course on getting started as a TA and stepping up your TA game in the classroom! Watch for a follow up session the week of September 8 focused on Engaging Neurodiverse Students in Group work and
Understanding and Facilitating DSO Supported Students Needs.
