History of Architecture, Interiors & Furniture I

A survey of the history of western architecture, interiors, and furniture from the Ancient World to the Industrial Revolution. This course will overview the components of style, construction, and material as represented by architecture, interior environments, furnishings and materiality. At the completion of this course, students will understand design precedent, and the social, cultural, and political influences impacting the evolution of the built environment.
