Advanced Camera is a hands-on course that develops a comprehensive understanding of the Camera Department on a film set. Students will build competence as camera assistants by studying various professional motion picture camera equipment and processes. Upon completing this course, students will be prepared to offer professional technical support on projects within the SOFA program and develop marketable skills for freelance production work. Students will first build an understanding of working with film through the use of the Bolex 16mm camera and expand this knowledge to contemporary industry standard equipment and workflows. Camera checkouts, film loading, set etiquette, optics, focus pulling, as well as the business of freelancing will be covered. **Fee: A course fee applied via student account**
