This course is the first of a two-course sequence that serves as the foundational semester, focusing on instruction in the core processes of studio-based film production. Students receive structured training in producing, directing, cinematography, production design, and sound, with particular emphasis on master scene technique and the practical workflows that support it. This includes learning how to break down a script, prepare call sheets, and understand the responsibilities and interdependencies of key crew positions such as assistant camera (1st and 2nd AC), camera operator, boom operator, sound mixer, gaffer, electrician, etc. Students are assessed on their comprehension of these roles, production workflows, and required safety protocols, ensuring they demonstrate a clear understanding of professional standards before advancing to sustained production work. **Fee: A course fee applied via student account**
