About the Juror:
Jessica Drenk is an artist whose work is tactile and textural, highlighting the chaos and beauty that can be found in simple materials. Her process often makes use of collage and assemblage techniques, gathering everyday and/or discarded objects and transforming them into works of art.
Drenk has shown in solo and group exhibitions all over the US, and is in private and corporate collections nationwide, including Fidelity, Frost Bank, and Yale University Art Gallery. Her work has appeared in Design & Paper, The Workshop Guide to Ceramics, Colossal, Patron magazine, and more. Drenk presents new work regularly with Galerie Urbane, a Dallas-based contemporary art gallery.
Drenk received an MFA in 3D Art from the University of Arizona in 2007 and a bachelor’s degree from Pomona College in 2002. She lives and works in the countryside outside of Rochester, New York.
The RIT College of Art and Design welcomes Drenk as an Anna Ballarian Visiting Artist, presenting a solo exhibition and artist talk in Spring 2027.
