IN COLLABORATION

October 9 - November 8, 2025

In Collaboration is an international jewelry and metals exhibition juried by Luci Jockel and Zach Mellman-Carsey, featuring over 30 works from around the world that explore collaborative processes. It asks that artists consider who or what their collaborators are and write an artist statement that elaborates on the way it occurs within their practice.

When we conceptualize what it means to collaborate, we think of working together, in conjunction, and jointly with another. Jewelers and metalsmiths do this inherently, we create adornment and objects that work in tandem with the body. We wear the jewelry, or we interact physically with the forged spoon or raised cup. However, as jewelers and metalsmiths in the 21st century we not only collaborate with the body but also with other human beings, animals, tools, machines, materials, time, and places to name a few.
