Davenport participates in Society for Photographic Education conference
Meredith Davenport, an associate professor in the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences, delivered an Image Maker Presentation titled “Membering” at the Society for Photographic Education’s (SPE) 2022 virtual conference “Truth and Consequences: A Reckoning.” The presentation featured a collection of layered narratives using images and words from found documents related to Davenport’s family story, beginning with a slave ship and ending with the death of her father.
