Professor’s stool design included in museum

The SOS stool, designed by Josh Owen, Distinguished Professor and director of the industrial design program, has been included in the permanent design collection of the ADAM Brussels Design Museum. The museum’s Amélie Van Liefferinge, said “the SOS Stool ... enriches the contemporary aspect of our plastic collection and will soon be presented on the podium ‘All curved’ in the plasticarium collection alongside pieces by Ron Arad, Marc Newson or Jacco Bregonje.” SOS already is included in the permanent collections of the Centre National d’Art et de Culture Georges Pompidou in Paris, France; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art; and Musee des beaux-arts de Montreal, Canada.
