RIT’s Bevier Gallery Hosts Faculty Exhibition

RIT Bevier Gallery will host "Faculty Exhibition" from October 15th to November 13th.

Bevier Gallery at Rochester Institute of Technology will host the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences “Faculty Exhibition”—an annual exhibit showcasing recent work by full and part-time faculty members from RIT’s School of Art, School of Design, School for American Crafts, and Foundations.

The show begins with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 15 and runs through Nov. 13.

The exhibition demonstrates the creative endeavors by faculty members who remain involved in their field while continuing to be immersed on campus with the day-to-day responsibilities related to teaching. Included in the showcase is a sculpture, White Women, by RIT Professor Leonard Urso, an expert in metal crafts, sculpture, paintings as well as silver and jewelry art forms. On a larger scale is a monoprint, Four Corners of Damaged Water, by Zerbe Sodervick, director of extended studies at RIT who is an expert in contemporary art, printmaking, digital art, papermaking and installation art.

Bevier Gallery is handicapped accessible and located in the James. E. Booth Building, 73 Lomb Memorial Drive. Regular gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; 7 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 1 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday; 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
