Thakur’s film ‘Terrible Children’ earns accolades
Shanti Thakur, director of the School of Film and Animation, and her most recent documentary film, Terrible Children, have been making rounds on the film festival circuit this year. In June, the film was screened at the Lisboa Indie Film Festival in Portugal and at the Berlin Indie Film Festival in Germany, where it received the Best Feature Documentary award. Terrible Children—which poses the universal question, ‘must we betray our family to grow up?’—has been shown at 16 festivals around the globe since premiering in April 2022.
