EUREKA! 2024 Interdisciplinary Collaboration for Social Change

The tenth EUREKA! event was held on October 24-26, 2024. This year’s community partner was Greentopia and the newly proposed High Falls State Park. Nine interdisciplinary teams developed proposals to attract visitors to locations within the proposed High Falls State Park location. The participants represented first year through graduate students in several colleges at Rit. Our Greentopia clients selected the proposal of Team Relator to be implemented in the spring of 2025. Team members included graphic designers Emmet Blanchette, Anais Santiago, and Nicole Yoo, and Computer and IT student Jennie Wiley. The team’s proposal focused on the creation of year-round events  and activities to showcase the area’s historical significance in the founding and growth of Rochester.

EUREKA! is only possible through the hard work of alumni facilitators and student leaders. This year’s alumni facilitators were graphic designers Danielle Smith and Allie Cervantes. Both facilitators had served in various capacities in previous EUREKA! events.

The 2024 EUREKA! Planning Directors included graphic designers Michael Grippo, Emmitt White, and Jennifer Zhang. Thanks to everyone for making the tenth year EUREKA! event a milestone to remember!
