At Saunders we are always onto something new and often we are often going someplace new and exciting.

Our studies and careers take us around the globe, opening a world full of opportunities. From over 200 study abroad options, to five global campuses, our experiences cover each continent and even take us to sea before we graduate. More than 2,400 international students at RIT come from over 100 countries, while nearly 140,000 worldwide RIT alumni work in the top positions at the most successful companies. Global Campuses

Saunders College of Business students can take advantage of the programs and opportunities available at RIT Global Campuses in Croatia, Dubai, Kosovo, and China, which offer business coursework for students interested in studying abroad for a semester.

RIT Croatia

Study in the coastal city of Dubrovnik or the capital city of Zagreb. RIT’s Zagreb campus offers business classes in accounting, management, international business, management information systems, and marketing. The Dubrovnik campus offers business classes in hospitality and tourism management.

Our teaching methods promote interaction and active participation between students and faculty. Students are encouraged to pursue interests and activities outside of classes to prepare them for today’s global work environment. Courses are taught in English by both American and European faculty.

Located in the heart of Dubai’s Silicon Oasis, one of the world’s leading centers of advanced electronic innovation and design, RIT Dubai offers the same accredited bachelor’s and master’s degrees that Rochester Institute of Technology offers. RIT Dubai provides a unique study abroad and networking opportunity for students from around the world.

Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU), China

Through an expanding partnership between RIT and BJTU, Saunders College of Business now offers both undergraduate and graduate business programs at BJTU’s Beijing and Weihai Campuses, including an exchange program initiated in 2012. Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) is a national key university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education with joint support by the China Railway Corporation and the Beijing Municipal Government.

BJTU is one of the first universities selected into the “National 211 Project” and the “985 Strength Discipline Innovation Platform” project, making it one of the first institutions authorized to confer masters and doctoral degrees. BJTU, as the leading organization, has established the Collaborative Innovation Center for Rail Transit Safety, which is one of the first 14 collaborative centers approved by the Chinese government to enter the “National 2011 Projects.” BJTU has been ranked in the Top 100 in QS University Rankings: BRICS for three consecutive years, with six disciplines rated successively as Top 400 in Categories of QS World University Rankings by Faculty and Subject.

Study Abroad

To prepare you for success in today’s global society, RIT offers a range of exciting study abroad programs giving business majors the opportunity to examine business practices in a new cultural context. You’ll immerse yourself in another culture, gain an understanding of international business practices, and build professional skills that will set you apart in a globalized work environment.

Business students who recently studied abroad:

  • Toured companies in Peru, learning about the priorities and challenges of an international food and beverage supply chain that serves global customers
  • Completed a summer internship in Sydney at a start-up company that provides speech therapy services to families in Australia
  • Completed a market research project on the Florence fashion retail market while studying in Italy
  • Learned how Islamic law impacts economic, banking, and financial systems in Dubai
  • Explored how different cultures, languages and business methods impact strategic planning within the European business market

RIT offers over 600 study abroad programs in 60 countries for as short as one week to as long as a full year. Options include programs led by RIT faculty, at RIT’s global campuses (Dubai, Croatia, Kosovo, China), through an RIT exchange university, or with one of RIT’s affiliate partners.

International Fellowships

RIT students and alumni with excellent academic records should consider applying for a competitive RIT Study Abroad Fellowship or Scholarship. There are a number of independent fellowships and scholarships available for study, travel, or research abroad. Fellowships (generally for graduate students or recent graduates) and Scholarships (generally for undergraduates) can turn the dream of living abroad into a reality.

RIT Work Abroad

RIT Work Abroad helps students who’d like to broaden their horizons but are also looking for an internship, co-op, or fellowship. Working abroad is a great way to experience a different culture, gain and work for outstanding companies and organizations in your field of study. You will get a different perspective on how to live and work and learn different ways of approaching and solving problems in the workplace; all while making meaningful professional connections worldwide.
