Accounting Career Fair

This event, sponsored by the Next Generation of Accountants (NGA), and the Office of Career Services and Cooperative Education, is an excellent opportunity for employers and students to connect regarding co-op and full-time opportunities.

Interview Day

The Accounting Career Fair is followed by an optional Interview Day in the Bausch and Lomb Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Employers are the ones to schedule interviews with students and alumni from the fair. Students are invited by employers through 30-minute interview slots during or after the fair.

If students do not hear from an employer or have a scheduled time slot, they do not attend Interview Day.

Register

Register for the Accounting Career Fair through Career Connect. A Career Services Coordinator will work with your company to determine whether the Accounting Career fair is a good fit, or if other recruiting options would be better suited for the needs of your company. Please do not schedule travel until you have received your confirmation.

The registration deadline is TBD, or until we reach maximum capacity.

Fees

The registration fee is $210 for the fair and includes two recruiters, a 6-ft-long skirted table, as well as lunch.

Attending Interview Day is free of charge for companies attending the Accounting Career Fair.

If you plan to ship your display materials in advance, plan to have your materials arrive no earlier than 2 weeks prior to the event and no later than the day prior to the event.

Shipped materials will be delivered to your table the morning of the Career Fair.

DO NOT send packages to The Gene Polisseni Center.

Have return shipping labels filled out and ready to place on all packages you wish to ship back after the Accounting Career Fair. These items will be shipped out the morning after the fair, provided that all necessary information is included on the shipping label.

Parking

Parking for the Gene Polisseni Center will be U Lot. Parking passes will be sent prior to the event via email. A campus map is available at maps.rit.edu.

If traveling from out of town, consider utilizing UBER, LYFT, or a hotel shuttle service where possible and NOT rental cars.

Employer FAQs


Yes. Registered attendees will receive a parking pass via email the week before the Career Fair.

Yes. There will be instructions when you arrive on how to access the RIT wireless network.

You may bring your company marketing materials, applications if you require them, and giveaways are also common.

There will be room for a small tabletop display.

The RIT accounting program has about 120 undergraduates and about 15 MBA in accounting students.

You will receive schedule forms at the Career Fair, where you can schedule students for interviews as you meet them; you will then conduct your interviews on Thursday at the Career Services Office. Lunch will be provided for all recruiters attending Interview Day.
