Creative Industry Day

Creative Industry Days for creatives by creatives. This portfolio-based event connects students with creative industry professionals, artists, photographers, designers, and developers.

Students receive feedback on their portfolios and learn more about the creative industry from industry experts who get a chance to give advice, scout for talent, and make connections. The event, started in 2006, is sponsored by the RIT Office of Career Services, collaborating with the College of Art and Design, Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences, and Alumni Relations.

You can check RIT Career Connect > Events > Info Sessions to see what you have signed up for at any time.

If you do not get a chance to speak with who you wanted to you can reach out to your career services coordinator and they can either share their contact info if we have their permission, and talk about other strategies.

Creative Industry Days is a portfolio-based event, with an emphasis on portfolio reviews, networking, and recruiting. You will have the opportunity to sign up for blocks of time, to meet with students 1:1.

Creative industry professionals get involved for a variety of reasons:

  • Promote their company/agency

  • See and connect with talent at RIT
  • Actively recruit and pre-select candidates for job openings (via co-op/internships and full time job listings)

Registration is now closed. Please contact us for other options to connect with, and/or recruit students.

Do you know someone in the creative industry that should be included in future event invitations? Submit contact info for our follow-up.

Managing your 1:1 Portfolio Reviews

If you have already registered, you have chosen day(s) and block(s) of time to meet with students in your virtual meeting room. Each review is 15 minutes in length. Students will sign up for time with you, and you will receive your schedule after the deadline for students has passed.

In addition to meeting with students and having them show you their work during the event. We encourage you to look at what our talented RIT students are creating by visiting the official Student Portfolio Site. Check back as students are continually adding their work. Feel free to reach out to students prior to the event or if you are unable to attend Creative Industry Day this year.

Post a Job. Then choose if you want our assistance in managing your Interview Schedule.
You can post your job directly in Career Connect powered by Symplicity. An account may have already been created for our employer partners.
