February 13-14: Starting at 8:30 a.m. Sign up for one time slot with one industry professional (this allows for as many students as possible to have a portfolio review).
February 15-20: Sign up for any open time slot (be careful not to double-book yourself).

Sign up through RIT Career Connect.

  1. Log in to RIT Career Connect. Go to Events > Info Sessions > keyword search CID. The list of companies/agencies whose areas of expertise/interest match up with your major will be listed.
  2. Sign up for a time slot (February 13-14) – Select your first choice
Signing up for one slot for the first few days gives as many students as possible the opportunity to meet with an industry professional. Unfortunately, if we see you have signed up for multiple companies, we will remove you from other sign-ups at our discretion.
  3. Sign up for any time slots you are interested in and are still available (February 15-20)
  4. Check your schedule. Each portfolio reviewer is providing their own virtual meeting links (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.). The description for each info session will contain the link you will use to connect with them at the time/day you signed up for. You can check RIT Career Connect > Events > Info Sessions > “Attendance” drop down, select “Attending or waitlisted” to see what you have signed up for at any time. Pay attention to system emails that will confirm your sign ups and provide the virtual meeting link.

After you have signed up -- your schedule of reviews:
The most reliable way, other than you noting what you signed up for on your personal calendar, is to look for the system messages that confirmed your sign up, and the second reminder system email message you will get the day of your review(s).

After sign up ends you can see what day(s) companies are conducting reviews, but not individual sign-ups:

  1. Log into Career Connect
  2. Click on Events
  3. Click on When
  4. Click on Coming Up

To cancel a review:
By signing up, you are expected to follow through and meet with your reviewer. They are giving their time, so good to be respectful and not be a "no-show". Once sign-ups have ended, you do not have the ability to login and cancel your own sign up. After February 23, please email to let us know if you are not able to meet with your reviewer because they have received their schedule of reviews and we will need to alert them about cancellations. The system does not allow you to cancel your own after sign ups have ended.

Before Feb 23, 2023

  1. Login to Career Connect
  2. go to Events
  3. from “Attendance” drop down, select “Attending or waitlisted”
  4. click on the session you wish to cancel
  5. from results you will see a green banner with the link to “cancel”

  • Bring your RIT ID to check in, no need to register
  • Bring your portfolio to show your work (if applicable)

A list of companies attending and current job postings will be available on February 17 in Career Connect and the Symplicity Jobs and Careers App (AppleAndroid). Log in to RIT Career Connect, and go to Events > Career Fairs. The list of companies/agencies whose areas of expertise/interest match up with your major will be listed. We recommend downloading the app to manage your day – you can filter on companies, majors of interest, type of job they are recruiting for, and table numbers.

Note: If you do not get a chance to speak with whom you wanted to you can reach out to your career services coordinator and they can either share their contact info if we have their permission and talk about other strategies.
