Atlantis
Atlantis offers RIT pre-health/pre-med students a hospital shadowing program in public hospitals in Italy. Participants learn about the European healthcare system and obtain valuable clinical experience by shadowing health professionals.
Program Includes:
- 20+ weekly hours of hospital shadowing
- Housing in dorms, apartments, or similar accommodations
- 24/7 on-site staff support from Atlantis City Manager
- On-site and hospital orientation sessions
- Daily transportation to and from the hospital as well as transportation for group meals (when necessary) and Atlantis-coordinated excursions
- Two cultural immersion or regional excursion trips, which include transport, tickets or guide fees, and a meal
- Light breakfast seven days per week
- Three group meals per week (two group dinners, one lunch during the weekly excursion)
- Wi-Fi access in housing (often not high-speed internet, but typically good enough for emails)
