    An online journal published by RIT Press and focused on scholarship exploring the music of Haydn has been recognized for innovation in journal publishing in the humanities and social sciences with the PROSE Award from the Association of American Publishers.

    Students design billboard to help "pay it forward"
    Students in the Advertising and Promotion Management course won a class competition to conceptualize and design a billboard for The Dream Factory, a local nonprofit agency that helps dreams come true for children living with critical or chronic illnesses.

    RIT group helps recovery efforts in Puerto Rico
    While many of their fellow students relaxed with their families during the winter break, a group of seven honors students and four administrators or staff from RIT volunteered to spend a week in hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico, helping clear debris and distribute needed supplies.

    Starting in April, learners can begin the RITx Design Thinking MicroMasters program offered on edX. Upon completing the MicroMasters program, learners can apply that credential toward earning an accelerated and reduced-cost master's degree in professional studies from RIT.

    STEAM competition to solve public safety problems
    The RIT Center for Public Safety Initiatives is hosting a contest to encourage interdisciplinary teams of students and faculty to develop ways public safety problems can be helped with the use of solutions involving science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM).
