Wallace Library’s first floor is undergoing extensive demolition and renovation this winter, and the makeover will be stunning. The library building will reopen to the RIT community in fall 2023, along with completion of the Student Hall for Exploration and Development (SHED) and the Monroe Hall renovation.

The contributions and relevance of a pioneering 20th century information designer is the focus of a new publication by RIT Press. Communicating Knowledge Visually: Will Burtin’s Scientific Approach to Information Design, by R. Roger Remington and Sheila Pontis, offers contemporary designers, educators, and students a master class in Burtin’s design philosophy.

The largest construction project on the RIT campus in more than 50 years remains on track to open in fall 2023. When complete, the Student Hall for Exploration and Development (SHED) will cover more than 120,000 square feet of new construction as well as more than 83,000 square feet of renovations in two existing buildings.

The B. Thomas Golisano collection at RIT Archives is going digital, with a new interactive online exhibit that celebrates the leader’s personal and professional legacy.

The RIT Archives and the Cary Graphic Arts Collection have relocated within Wallace Library to accommodate construction of the Student Hall for Exploration and Development (SHED).
