NEA Grants for Arts Projects

Synopsis. The National Endowment for the Arts’ Grants for Arts Projects is their principal grants program for organizations based in the United States. Through project-based funding, the program supports public engagement with, and access to, various forms of art across the nation, the creation of art, learning in the arts at all stages of life, and the integration of the arts into the fabric of community life. NEA will fund arts projects in the following disciplines: Artist Communities, Arts Education, Dance, Design, Folk & Traditional Arts, Literary Arts, Local Arts Agencies, Media Arts, Museums, Music, Musical Theater, Opera, Presenting & Multidisciplinary Arts, Theater, and Visual Arts.

Applicants may request cost share/matching grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. A minimum cost share/match equal to the grant amount is required.

Limit on Proposals. RIT may only submit one application per calendar year. An additional submission may be considered exclusively under the Media Arts Track. 

Internal Applications.  One page summarizing your application. If this is a resubmission, please include copies of reviews. This will not count against the one page limit. Please identify whether your proposal is to be considered Media Arts in the title of the proposal or in the document title. 

Deadlines. Internal proposals are to be submitted through https://www.rit.edu/research/srs/node/2133 by 5pm on 4/21/23.
