NIH Biosketch

For more details and instructions, go to https://grants.nih.gov/grants/how-to-apply-application-guide/forms-e/general/g.240-r&r-seniorkey-person-profile-(expanded)-form.htm#Instructions

NIH recently announced some changes to the Biosketch that are effective for due dates on or after May 25, 2021. Beginning with applications submitted on or after January 25, 2022, failure to follow this new guidance may cause NIH to withdraw the application from consideration.

The most significant change affects non-fellowship applications and involves the removal of Section D “Research Support.”  However, as applicable, all applicants may include details on ongoing and completed research projects from the past three years that they want to draw attention to within the personal statement, Section A.

This revised guidance will be reflected in SciENcv, so this is perhaps another reason to push faculty to use that service to prepare personnel documents.
