The Integrated Sciences Academy contributes to the overall missions of the College of Science and RIT by delivering various types of cross-disciplinary and multidisciplinary curricula to undergraduate and graduate students and by bringing together multiple areas of expertise to invent new approaches to solving the complex problems facing our society.
The Integrated Sciences Academy:
Fosters collaboration by integrating across traditional disciplinary lines to identify suitable solutions to the societal and global challenges that require multidisciplinary thinking,
Supports science-based cross-disciplinary and multidisciplinary programs at the undergraduate and graduate level,
Enhances cross-disciplinary and multidisciplinary research programs, and
Enables appropriate distribution of faculty effort across programs and academic units.
