Workshop Helps Businesses Think ‘Green’

Event provides blueprint for sustainable housekeeping

The New York State Pollution Prevention Institute at Rochester Institute of Technology, in partnership with Rochester Midland Corp. and XPEDX, is hosting a training and information session designed to assist businesses in becoming greener.

The free Workshop on Sustainable Green Housekeeping for Commercial and Institutional Facilities will be held 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at Woodcliff Hotel & Spa.

The event features presentations and demonstrations by industry, environmental and academic experts discussing a wide range of topics including implementing green house keeping, green cleaning technologies and LEED EB certification. Green implementation consultant Steve Ashkin will be conducting one of the sessions.
