'Start Here' art exhibit winners

Hundreds gathered in and around Bevier Gallery for the Jan. 26 opening reception of "Start Here," the College of Art and Design at RIT’s annual exhibition showcasing artwork by middle and high school students.

The scores of bright, young artists featured in the invitational show — on view until Feb. 10 — are from districts in the Rochester and Finger Lakes regions. At the reception, 28 of the students received special recognition for the work they created, accepting awards from various departments, schools and programs within CAD.
